The five-station packing machine was developed for a flashlight battery company that sells batteries through the Boy Scouts of America for fund-raising ventures. This machine packages millions of batteries into two-, four-, and eight-pack blisters.
The machine has five stations for each role in packaging of the batteries:
- load blisters
- load batteries
- load cards
- seal blisters
- remove product
Indexing of the carousel was accomplished by use of a Thortek fabricated
Geneva Indexing Mechanism.
