Mar 2005 USAF SBIR Phase 1 contract “Compact Integrated Hub Traction Motor and Inverter” competed MAR06. We developed a high-density electric motor and it is packaged with its controller within the wheel of a bomb-lift.
Feb 2006 Pat. No.: 7,000,657 Locking Fuel Nozzle. A locking nozzle for convenient stores that will lock the nozzle to the customer’s car until payment is received: will eliminate $237M in annual losses as a result of drive-offs.
May 2005 Pat. No.: 6,889,479 Building Block. An integrated concrete building block that utilizes a contemporary Concrete Masonry Unit with an outer, multi-colored brick façade, and an inner wall recess for reception of a wooden stud for hanging drywall.
Apr 2004 DOD-MDA SBIR Phase 1 contract “ Stabilized Magnetic Bearings axially positioned by Axial Gap Motor for a High Specific Energy, Flywheel Energy Storage System” May 2005. We developed an innovative permanent magnet, magnetic bearing system for a satellite flywheel energy storage application.
Apr 2004 NASA-KSC SBIR Phase 2 contract “Hermetically Sealed Control Valve Magnetically Coupled to Electro-Mechanical Actuator” completed 22Apr04. We expanded the Phase I project to develop a linear coupler, axial gap electric motor, and an electro-mechanical actuator in order to actuate the 2” LH2 and LOX replenish valves in a hermetically sealed manner.July 2003 NASA-KSC SBIR Phase 1 contract “Hermetically Sealed, Free Piston, Cylindrical Linear Pump” completed 17July03. We developed a linear motor, which can be used to actuate a free-piston in a hermetically sealed linear LOX pump, and LH2/LOX replenish valves.
